iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - ThemsAllTook - May 17, 2009 08:19 PM Hello everyone, We're organizing an #idevgames mini-contest this weekend. The theme is "sticky": if your game mechanics involve things sticking together, you're in. You can start at 5 PM local time on Friday 2009-05-22, and should post a final game build by midnight local time on Tuesday morning 2009-05-26. These times will not be strictly enforced, but you should try to stay within that range to keep with the spirit of the contest. Post here or come to #idevgames on irc.freenode.net for discussion. EDIT: It's been pointed out that this occurs on Memorial Day weekend, so the end time has been extended by a day. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - stevejohnson - May 17, 2009 08:20 PM You guys already know this, but as usual, I'm in. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - OneSadCookie - May 17, 2009 08:21 PM list of sticky things (some not-so-safe-for-work): http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=253488 iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - maximile - May 18, 2009 04:46 AM Sounds like fun. I'll probably be in, if I can think of a good idea. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - backslash - May 18, 2009 08:01 AM Love that theme. My new base code library is approaching being usable, so it might be a good opportunity to try it in anger ( ) if I can think of an idea. At least this contest lines up with a time period when I'm not working for a change.
iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - Skorche - May 18, 2009 12:01 PM Dang, that will be Memorial day weekend. Visiting family and all. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - Oddity007 - May 18, 2009 01:13 PM backslash Wrote:Love that theme. I'm holding off from uDG and the like until I am done with Oe.editor. But I'm hoping I can participate in the next one, mini-uDG or not. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - FlamingHairball - May 18, 2009 05:25 PM Sounds fun. Count me in. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - maximile - May 22, 2009 10:10 AM ThemsAllTook Wrote:You can start at 5 PM local time on Friday 2009-05-23, and should post a final game build by midnight local time on Tuesday morning 2009-05-26. Hey, it's past 5PM Friday here (but it's the 22nd, not the 23rd). Better start thinking of an idea quickly! iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - ThemsAllTook - May 22, 2009 10:29 AM maximile Wrote:Hey, it's past 5PM Friday here (but it's the 22nd, not the 23rd). iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - DoG - May 22, 2009 11:20 AM I threw together a quick prototype this afternoon, the goal is to tip the tower, eventually crushing your enemy with it. iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - EvolPenguin - May 22, 2009 11:49 AM Looks cool DoG! Alex iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - Mercy____ - May 23, 2009 05:59 PM I thought it might be fun to have some prizes of some kind, so I'll be putting up a free license key to Mega BrickBash 3000 as a prize to whoever wins the contest. Alex said he'd be willing to put up a poll so we can vote for a winner. So yeah.... free arcade game for the winner! Yay!!
iDevGames mini-contest this weekend: "Sticky" - AndyKorth - May 23, 2009 09:00 PM My game is in progress, and Maximile has been kind enough to do modeling work for me, so 90% of the awesomeness of this screenshot is cause of his modeling work: http://kortham.net/temp/StickyGame.png http://kortham.net/temp/StickyBoxes.png Basically, it's a trading game, and stuff sticks to you. |
