I am making an iphone application which have alarm settings, is there any API's are avilable to access iphone built in alarm from a third party application

No you can not access the iPhones alarm from your app.

This is a feature I asked Apple about awhile ago, and no, as Kyle said, you cannot access it.
I would recommend submitting it as a bug report / feature request at http://bugreport.apple.com
Apple considers adding new user-desired features based on that database.

Thanks you for all replies, then i have to go through a seperate application running in background, but i am still confuses that iphone will support any background process
