Apps on itunes store - Najdorf - Jul 10, 2008 04:39 PM

Log into the itunes store and you'll find they started selling apps and games there.

Time to make use of your connections at apple if you got'em Wink

Man, 175 games and the gates aren't even open yet! Blink

Thanks for the heads up Najdorf!

Already bought Chopper and Monkey Ball, which were both as good as expected. One to definitely check out is AquaForest, which is awesome but slow.

I remember Reubert was complaining about how the Americans were going to get a leg up over the rest of the world, and now it appears he was one of the few let in before the show. Oh well, no fault of his either way... Go Chopper!

Some how I got let in, and managed to complete Chopper before the release. It's really exciting right now!

Man, no kidding! I don't want to sound too dorky about it, but it's like watching the SuperBowl in slow motion! ... er, sorry, World Cup in fast forward! Rasp

I have about 7 or 8 things that I just refresh and respond to one after the other... madness... But I didn't say before, thanks maximile I'm glad it's living up to expectations. There have been a lot of late nights over the past couple of months to get to today.

btw in case anyone hasn't seen it, there is a Mac OSX based demo that emulates Chopper for the iPhone available from this page. (Requires OS X 10.5)

edit: does that mean I finally have a chance of being accepted in the Developer Program? I hope so! Smile

Remember guys with the new firmware you can take screen shots by holding the home button and pressing the sleep/wake button quickly.

Any word on the NDA?

Apps on itunes store - Bjoernke - Jul 11, 2008 05:47 AM

reubert, you might add (intel) to the requirements for the iphone chopper demo and/or fix it to work on ppc...

(It started and music played, but there was nothing shown within the window, iBook G4, 1.2 MHz, 768 MB)

Apps on itunes store - FlamingHairball - Jul 11, 2008 06:15 AM

Reubert: I tried the sim yesterday, and I've gotta say: "This ROCKS!"

* FlamingHairball wants an iPhone to play Chopper on

Ooh, Chopper on iPhone? Will definitely buy later today.

I'd be extremely interested in sales statistics in a week or two, if you'd be willing/able to share them...

Me too! I was afraid to ask earlier, but since ThemsAllTook brought it up...

I don't have an iPhone, so I haven't seen this first hand, but...

John Gruber Wrote:On the iPhone’s App Store app, at the bottom of the details page for every app is a downloads count. Given that the only way to download a non-free app is to buy it, it more or less puts sales figures out in the open.
