Where can I get a free 2D animation creator? Really need to find an app that I can use to make 2D animations. I can make the frames but I don't have anything to compile them with.

Try Pixen. It's a piece of junk in a lot of areas, IMO, but it works.
"Compile" how? It's dangerous to be using that word...

Quicktime Pro can convert image sequences into lots of video formats. It doesn't help with lining the frames up or anything though.
