Anybody play with Google's SketchUp? - WhatMeWorry - Sep 1, 2006 07:48 AM This my be common knowledge so excuse me if that is so. But Google's got a new free (also a pro version) 3D tool called SketchUp. I'm by no means a 3D expert having only used Wings3D, but I was quite impressed with it's intuative interface and ease of use. Google has the best teaching videos of the application that I've ever seen. Also seemed that OS X was well supported. At the very least, it would be a good (free) program to point to newbies just getting their feet wet with 3D. Say, how does one "integrate" your obj exporter with SketchUp? Is this what is referred to as a "plug-in"? Great stuff btw. Anybody play with Google's SketchUp? - ferum - Sep 3, 2006 08:58 PM Yes it is a plug-in. Its usage is explained farther down in the thread linked to above. |
