Is the end of Internet nigh, need i commence atonement?
Hi guys
I have a strange question, because it seems that since a month or so, random sites on the net have started to be very unreliable. my first guess was DNS problems of my provider, but most sites actually do return a name (others don't), when I query them. So most of the time it's "network timeout", other times it's "host not found".
I went to my aunt in america for 2 weeks, and there I had the same problems, some sites would stop to be reachable for half an hour or so, then reappear.
Sometimes friends in europe (per chat) report these sites working for them while they don't for me, some say they don't for them either. I have contacted my provider, and also have some traceroutes, but am myself incapable of interpreting them.
Does anyone have a clue what could be the problem here?
Sites that recently had this problem for me:
http://www.runrev.com
http://www.sluggy.com
http://www.gamasutra.com
http://www.google.com
and unfortunately also:
http://www.idevgames.com
