At the beginning of 2009, AndyKorth and I started a company to try out the whole independent game developer thing. So far we are making ends meet by doing some contracting work for another local game company (with aarku actually), but we'd like to be making money on some of our own IP as well. I've put in well over a thousand hours developing Chipmunk and learning the required math and physics. If you appreciate the work I've done with Chipmunk please consider donating! I'd be thrilled to know that time spent on Chipmunk could also help pay the bills.

Thanks for the support! Smile

Also, we put up a webpage for it on our Howling Moon Software page.

We're also considering contract work for chipmunk related stuff as well.

I just sent a few bucks...

I'm hoping to have another Chipmunk-powered game on the App Store in August - Expect a more generous donation if it hits the top 10 Wink

Sending some now, it would be more if Liquid Defense sold more than a handful of copies. My next iPhone project, Rocket Golf, uses Chipmunk, so if that does well on the iPhone I'll throw in a few more.

Keep the updates coming Smile!

We have a hosting bill on the horizon, but if the community would like iDevGames to donate, please say so. We currently have $266.12 USD in funds.

I really really really don't see why you suggest to give the money, that people donated for the purpose of running and improving iDevGames, to a completely different project.

I agree. I think it's best to keep the money that was earmarked for site hosting to remain for site hosting exclusively.

ya.....I remember this was kind of a touchy subject when funds donated for hosting the site got spent on improving the site instead.

Back on topic:
I haven't had a chance to use the chipmunk physics yet, but I still think I'll send some money your way, for the same reason funkboy mentioned Smile
