My game was approved yesterday. However i had to scroll down 7 pages on new releases to find it. Its ranked on new releases with the submit for approval date, not the on sale date. But since it wasn't approved it wasn't for sale until yesterday. How the heck was anyone supposed to find it?

It seems like it uses the earlier of the date you supply when you add your app, and the approval date. So I guess your supposed to put your date as 2099 or something? Let my misfortune be helpful to somebody else atleast. Anyone know what the purpose of that date is?

it's so you can set a release date where the game won't be released until that date, even if it rushes through approval. It's useful for games where you have marketing planned around specific launch dates and don't want to game to release too early and miss it.

So next time should I leave it blank? I wonder if thats even an option. Anyhow now that I missed the new release list, is there any hope for my app? Is it worth spending on advertising etc for simple apps?
