2D Game Engines
I'm new to Mac development and I've been looking for a good 2d game engine. I really want one that's c or objective-c (and not C++ from a possibly misguided conception about objective-c)
I've checked out the obvious three, Cocos2D (still on 10.4 so I can't use it), Torque (expensive), and PTK (uses carbon instead of cocoa).
I was wondering if others had some suggestions or if maybe I should just forget the engine all together.
Thanks!

Power Game Factory went open source earlier in the month, inquire there, pretty sure its all cocoa stuff.
Torque, hmm, you are getting more than just an engine for the money, they've also built editing tools, a community, and iphone support.
Then of course there is all the 2D games from uDevGames 2008.
I suppose those are a good start for an 'engine'.
