Player to Player Data transfer?

I have been reworking WiTap into a OpenGL game structure. An i am now stuck on how to send the player data to the other player.

Can someone help me please?

Does anyone know anything about WiFi programming for the iPhone/iPod Touch????

Please, explain you better.

If you want a multiplayer game, it is exactly as a computer game. Use sockets, create a game, and the others join it. You have to use sockets, multithreading and concurrency.

By the way, you need a router to connect sevaral iphones thru wifi.

We do license our Handshake technology which is used in Trivial for head to head gaming. It works across 3g, Edge and Wifi across any network, and finds people within a specified location of you.

Programming
1.iPhone to iPhone Connection via WiFi.
2.sending data from one iPhone to the Other ( int,float,strings an so on)
3. I think those two are it?

That's impossible. You need a router between two iphones if you want send/receive data through a wifi connection.

BTW, theorically it would be possible using bluetooth, but apple don't like that.

Malarkey The link you gave me show me how to send text data back-forth to each iPhone after studying it I found out how to send my player Struct to each player.

so I greatly appreciate the link you gave me it was just want I needed. Smile


riruilo I know you need a router for iPhone to iPhone connection unfortunly I thought
one would know what i meant by iPhone to iPhone via Wifi guess I need to give even more detail explanation.

It would not be impossible to do this using an Ad-Hoc network. But Apple does not allow you access to the WiFi in this manner.
