polling mouse location?

Is there a way to get the in-view mouse coordinates without having to setup a mouse tracking rectangle? Seems like overkill to have to get and store mousemoved events when I just want to get the location once.

It sounds like you want either +[NSEvent mouseLocation] or -[NSWindow mouseLocationOutsideOfEventStream].
