I suppose I'm a newbie around here, but I'm in! This is the first game I'm going to totally complete and release to the world, and though I've done a lot of programming I've never really made a full, awesome game. And that's what I'm setting out to do. Should be an interesting 3 months...

Don't think I'll be able to make it, due to the iPhone app development and my day job taking up most of my spare time. Wish I could try... iPhone apps are not legitimate entries, correct?

Having played almost every entry through 2004 and following every contest back then, I might have to enter for the first time this year... I have an idea, let's see how it pans out, it seems I never complete projects anymore.
Java is still allowed, right? The rule regarding Rosetta confused me, it seems odd that Python and Java, which are bundled with 10.5, do very similar things to Rosetta, but at a higher level...

Yes, Java is allowed. The Rosetta rule was intended to prevent people writing code for other OSes, not in "other" languages.
