It's a certain value per market, not a total across all of them. There are something like six markets across the globe. If that's not it, you probably just need to ask Apple.

There are 7 payment regions - if you log into itunesconnect and check your Financial Reports it says:
As far as actual payments go (once you accumulate more than $250 in any one region), the contract says you'll receive payment no later than 45 days following the close of the month. So you might not see money from October till the middle of December. I hear it usually comes through sooner than that, but I'm still waiting on my first payment so I really don't know.
Quote:NOTE: If you did not accrue any share from sales in a region for a given month, that financial report will not be made available on iTunes Connect. If your share from sales for a given region for a given month are less than $250 (USD), or the equivalent in local currency, we will withhold payment until you accumulate more than $250.

Payments tend to come in around the mid 20's (most of mine are in by the 25th) of the month after you receive your report. Your milage may vary =)
I received 3 payments my first month, and 5 the second, but I know I've accumulated enough money in each region. Does apple group any of these regions together for payment or should I be wondering where my money is?
Sorry to hijack the thread, but apples payments never equal the financial reports they send me, is apple keeping money for foreign taxes or something?

Could you tell us if the difference is to big?
For example:
If apple report show $ 1,000
Apple will sent $ 950 ???????
or less ?
Take this numbers and make for me
The same example but more sharp (real) please
I am waiting for my first money
Thanks a lot

It really depends on when the currency conversions are calculated, I actually emailed apple a similar question as above and I'm awaiting a reply
Apple sends money in the native currency for each region, and your bank converts it to your account's currency. Exchange rates vary from bank to bank (and day to day) but they are never equal to the interbank rate that most currency calculators use. In other words, banks always screw you on the conversion, no matter if you're buying or selling. Some banks also charge extra fees for incoming wire transfers.
I'm not sure anything can be done about the exchange rate discrepancies, but you should at least be able to write off any additional fees come tax time.

Thanks, thats helpful to know. My $11 per incoming wire transfer could end up costing me $500-$1000 a year, not to mention the exchange rates. Too bad they can't just do a direct deposit in USD like Plimus does for my mac sales
hi, i have another question important about payments
its true that apple will pay more than $250 for region.
i mean.... for example...
sell $1000 on US region
sell $180 another region
apple will retain those $180, because not reach $251 yet.
its true ?
or $250 in all regions ?
thanks a lot !

In fact, you could earn $249 in each region and never see a penny!

I would prefer to have one payment over two months of $400 with one wire fee rather than two payments of 200 with two wire fees. I wouldn't mind if apple retained some of my regions and paid them on alternating months, but they don't do that.
Surely it gets accumulated though? So by not paying anything below $250, aren't Apple doing exactly what you're saying Jake? Holding the first $200, then paying you $400 the next month?
