512x512 picture for applications, where do they show it?

I've been looking through the application store and don't seem to notice a rhyme or reason to when there are large pictures and small ones per application or game. Do you guys know where they use the 57x57 picture and when/where they use the 512x512 one?

It's used as a bigger version of the app icon, so be sure it is (more or less) the same as the 57x57 icon.
