I have checked out both of those. The first one is for people that already know another language. The second one did not teach me very much. Lots of the time I was copying stuff that I did not know what it did.

This is about the only book there is. However, as you can see from my review, I personally don't recommend it.

The lack of adequate documentation has often been a sore point among Blitz Max users. I can only suggest that you read through the numerous articles posted in the Tutorials and Beginners Area forums on the main Blitz Max website.

Avoid the more advanced features of the language until you have mastered the basics. If you still can't make sense of it, you might consider starting with a simpler language like Blitz Basic, just to get the hang of it.

Except that Blitz Basic is for Windows.
