I'm going to build my game for the device, and I'm getting these strange errors on a few of the files:

{standard input}:234:bad instruction `swp r1,r3,[r2]'

It doesn't give a line number either. What does this mean?

Weird - it's giving an error in the assembly language it's generating.

I'm only guessing, but some element of your project (a library maybe) has been compiled for x86 (the simulator) and not for the device itself. Perhaps try cleaning the project and building everything again?

I've tried cleaning and recompiling, still a no go.

Is this during compilation, or execution? If it's during compilation, look at the generated assembly (instead of -c or -o filename, use -S) and then search for it.

It's not magic, it's Ruby.
