iPhone Game Framerates? Chipmunk & OpenGL

Sure, no problem, but I can't figure out how to build an iPhone application with the new tools since they don't come with any iPhone stuff, and I can't figure out how to hook it up to the existing SDK. The bug is on ARM, so... What do I do?
How do you go about making a FPS counter? Are you displaying it to console or did you go with a Bitmap font?
You can do it either way. I prefer drawing it to screen, either with bitmapped font or rendered text.
A little update: With the release of the latest iPhone SDK, today I was able to confirm that they fixed that compiler bug.
