Nike logo
Is it possible to use the swish symbol on a game character shoe?
If not, I could design some other symbol that makes sense, but does not tread on Nike trademarks.

I decided to go safe and design one of my own.

Besides the legal implications, why advertise a multi billion dollar slave driving corporation without getting paid for it?
Nike spends hundreds of millions on advertising, why increase brand recognition without pocketing a chunk of the fun?
A logo on a characters shoe won't increase your game sales.

Meh, law is an opinion. And so much stuff has been patented that it's impossible not to infringe something.
For instance if you use triangle strips (which is kind of the only way to do stuff in Opengl ES) you are probably infringing this

It's a matter of minimizing risk nowadays.

Nike can afford opinion defenders.
