Sfxr - One Click Retro Sound Effects

You mean, just because it looks exactly like the new Photoshop icon?
Seth,
Is your version only for Leopard? It crashes immediately on me.

Tiger? Panther? What are those? Hmm.... Some vaaaaague distant memory is forming in the back of my mind...
I updated the app again.
- This time it has Sparkle in it so you'll get automatic updates.
- Added a preference for Randomize changing the wave type. There was bug so it was always being reset to square. It should have been leaving it as whatever was previously selected. The preference toggles between that, and simply randomizing the wave type on every click.
- Added LSMinimumSystem check so it won't crash on 10.4 and earlier.

Fine tool, thank you. A quick question: How did you get the Mac's model name for the System profile? I often wanted to obtain it to put in customer's System profiles. But I could never find a way to do this in Apple's DevPages.
Randomize is broken in the build I just downloaded. I get this in Console:
*** +[SoundEffect randomize]: unrecognized selector sent to class 0x1a220

System 6.

So, no go for Tiger, eh?

Oh my god. I'm in love with this program.
The original mac version crashed on me too (10.5.2) but sfxrX works like a charm. Seth, you are king of my heart right now.

That whole profile thing was accidently put in there when another project built an unsanctioned version of the Sparkle framework and replace my version. Oops!
Anyway, use sysctlbyname. For the rest of the profile code look at Sparkle's code.

Ha ha! Now he has power!
Hahaa! This is awesome! Now I have to go and write a retro arcade game to make use of it...
FYI for all of you during uDG 2011, this is still around:
