LOLLOLLOL You didn't happen to have a hand in putting OpenGL ES support in there, did you?

Watching that YouTube video made me think, "That is a perfect platform for a quick Marble Madness type of game." Smile

I guess that's good... Though it means that now there will have to be two code paths, and games will need to be tested on two models. I hope this doesn't happen too often, it could get expensive buying all these iPhones to test on!

Folks from outside the U.S. are now beginning to be accepted as iPhone devs... start your compilers...

Love

I found this image in the comments on the twaw page, which seems to indicate available countries:
http://skitch.com/helge/kshx/iphone-deve...m-purchase

I guess those are the available iTunes Stores for the $99 payment and not necessarily the countries in which the dev program is available, right?
(no, I haven't received an email yet, although I think the NDA would prevent me from saying I did if that was the case)

What is the difference between iTunes Stores and the dev program? Can't everyone download the SDK?

Yes, anyone can download the SDK, the thing is being accepted as a dev and given a signing key to run your apps on the actual hardware instead of just on the simulator. For that you need to pay the $99 fee, and I'm guessing that is done via the iTunes Store.

Mac/Win/lInux Engine ported to Iphone in 3 days or about 40 hours of work.

Only remaining issue is SPEED... game runs about 8 FPS right now...

Hi guys, forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section! I'm a bit older and am relatively new to the development game - I have recently developed a game for a company and want some peer feedback. I know it strictly forbids self promotion on these threads, but I'm more looking for some constructive peer criticism than actual self promoting. So, I'd be really grateful for your insights, as I said I'm pretty new to the game and would value all your thoughts and opinions as I'd like to improve. Thanks a million! Pete.
