Using Core Animation for 2D-Games?
Well, just a simple question: Is Core Animation useful for 2D-games?
Perhaps I should ask this next week, when Leopard is released, but perhaps anyone of you know some Info about it, like if it is hardware accelerated or how easy/useful it is?

It's most definitely hardware accelerated and easy to use. Whether or not it is useful for games... I will have to hold my comments until it's released.

Can't answer your question for another 9 and a half hours
I used CoreAnimation and Cocoa Bindings to make networked pong, and thought it was great. I suspect that with a little bit of layering (maybe some Chipmunk integration) it'll be a really good development environment for 2D games.
At the very least it looks *perfect* for card games.
