Your webcomic's so fat, ...

In lieu of stuff going on, here's a challenge:

Create a webcomic!
  • vaguely idevgames/game development related
  • inside jokes are ok, but don't expect to win
  • originality++
  • specifically hand-crafted for this contest
  • can be a single panel, a proper strip, or multi-volume series
  • photos are ok, animation is not.

Obviously, this geniuous idea stems from a wacky #idevgames IRC conversation.

Just so you get an idea, these three brilliant strips were created on coder's block sometime last year, courtesy of yours truly:
(server may be down at times)

...or this newish brainwave by Corun:

The winning comic's grand prize will be victory.

All submissions are due by the first BOOM in the '07 WWDC keynote, public voting will last until the end of WWDC, unless lots of people start bitching about it.

Submit your entry by either posting a link in this thread (embedding is of course OK, as well), or PM me if you got nowhere to host it.

May the one who can bribe the judges best win.

Ooooooh, awesomeooooo.

I believe the comics images should be embedded in this thread, not linked...

Here's mine, totally unoriginally but deeply felt...

Hehehe. I might do something different if I get more time, seeing as my idea is so similar to Najdorf's, (I guess it's an obvious idea :-))

Here's mine about that one day in #idevgames, when I figured the sneaky way of becoming a moderator Rasp.

I knew *someone* would say that Wink. Sorry I didn't include you in the comic (your avatar). I just grabbed some random ones.

Not as good as I hoped it to be, and unoriginal. I'm somewhat new here (signed up a while ago but don't post much) and don't know much about iDev so its not that great. Oh well. (Drawing kinda sucks to Rasp )

North West Panel
You are standing in a square comic panel west of a white house, whith a boarded front door.
There is a small mailbox here.

>open mailbox
Opening the small mailbox reveals a leafllet

>Go East

North East Panel
You are standing at the back of the white house. There is a book of matches here. A path leads to the south west.

>Read Leaflet

iDEVGAMES is a website of adventure, danger and low cunning. In it you will explore some of the most amazing territory ever seen by mortals. No computer should be without one!

p.s if you want to write an MMORPG, please wait inside the white house"

South West Panel
A pile of kindling is stacked up against the side of the small house here. Inside the wooden building you can hear a group of people talking. A path leads to the east.

You hear a group of unskilled newbs talking about the great MMORPG they've designed and asking each other if they want to do the coding.

>Open Matchbook

>Take Match

>Light Match
You light the match

>Light Kindling
You set fire to the pile of kindling, a nice fire is now making its way up the side of the house.

South East Panel
You are standing in a small clearing. A small white house full of newbs is burning merrily nearby. There is a small pile of marshmallows on sticks here.

>Take marshmallows

>Toast marshmallows
You toast and eat the marshmallows.
