Now the contest is all over are people going to be writing up their thoughts and experiences of their game development and the tools they used?

More importantly if we do write up our accounts will there be some place we can put them on the site (not in the forums as they age so quickly)? Or are we best approaching the OTEE lot to see if they want our initial Unity views if we used their product?

I look forward to reading about how others got on with getting to grips with Unity in such a short time. I know I ran into various issues (some due to me being a bit naive and believing the hype) and wonder if others encountered the same kind of stuff.

Yes, we'd love reviews of Unity from the participants. Especially from folks that used Unity for the first time - how did it feel, did it live up to "the hype" (if any), how it is compared to other tools/engines you know, what were the biggest obstacles and surprises, etc etc.

I know but that is in a forum post which is not easily found in a couple of months time.

FYI, I will be writing a more lengthy and complete review later. I agree with Andrew that the forum is not the proper place for permanent articles (or in this case, contest post mortems).

Thank you very much, since it is one of those games I am completely AMAZED by.
TRON with a hint of Space Harrier. Can't wait to find out what it was really all about. Smile Keep that world growing.

iDevGames used to have great developer blogs, until the darkness came...

So everyone just do your PostMortems in Unity, they'll be so much better that way.

I have recently been thinking of how awful "Player" applications are, and then after having launched all these Unity/Dim3 apps I ...suddenly see the greatness of a "Player" application. If I could select and play Unity games the way I do MacMame games, well that would be just peachy.

Of course thats nothing to the obvious thoughts of Unity on an iPhone...
motion sensing, touchy feely, wifi ...oooh-ahh-nity.

Play some of the games again and its so obvious it will hurt.

Oh .....it burns
...do it again

Wow, thank you, that's quite a compliment! I'm glad to hear that some are interested in seeing the game's development continue. At this point, we are not actively working on the game as other projects are taking priority. Your input is a strong motivator for me to want to pick it up again, so we'll see what happens throughout the rest of the year.

I do feel that I owe everyone a good explanation of the game, along with a brief tutorial of the mechanics, and I hope to deliver that soon. Stay tuned, I suppose! It will probably be on my blog.

Thanks again!

I've put some gameplay information for Parallel Destiny up on my blog, since there seems to be an influx of people interested in trying it out. Here's the info, for those who are curious: http://climactic-ave.typepad.com/climact...estin.html
