Yes, Mac entries are accepted.
Showcase example would: making a cool Bullet demo, using your own graphics engine, or an existing graphics engine, like Ogre, C4. Or perhaps some robot editor, anything fun really, as long as it uses Bullet's rigidbody dynamics.
