Anybody play with Google's SketchUp?
This my be common knowledge so excuse me if that is so.
But Google's got a new free (also a pro version) 3D tool called SketchUp.
I'm by no means a 3D expert having only used Wings3D, but
I was quite impressed with it's intuative interface and ease of use.
Google has the best teaching videos of the application that I've ever seen.
Also seemed that OS X was well supported.
At the very least, it would be a good (free) program to point to newbies just
getting their feet wet with 3D.

Yes it is a plug-in. Its usage is explained farther down in the thread linked to above.
