Has anyone had desktop problems after terminating a fullscreen application using irrLicht?

After termination the menu bar and icons all shuffle into the top left of the screen. They are contained in a rectangle the size of the fullscreen resolution (ex: 800x600) even though the desktop resolution is 1920x1200. The wallpaper image is still ok!

This happens with all irrLicht examples, my game and even the irrLicht author's game i downloaded.

That means irrLicht isn't capturing the display properly before switching to fullscreen mode.
