host_statistics memory usage output confusing

I wanted to check on my memory usage so I ran this utility via a code block you can easily get by googling :calculate free memory on iphone
The output was
[Start]used: 117100544 free: 38187008 total: 155287552
[Fully loaded]used: 120528896 free: 15933440 total: 136462336
If you do the math, the delta of free and used respectively is:
22,253,568
3,428,352
Should not these 2 numbers be identical? Why did my total memory go down?
Which one should I trust? if its the 22 meg one thats a bit high(<20 suggested?) from what I read elsewhere on the boards correct?
