Heads up: glDrawbuffer(GL_FRONT) issue w/OS X 10.4.3 and NVidia cards

So I was checking out the free 3D package "Blender" (blender.org) and was having issues getting it to run right, so after a bit of searching I found this:

Brass tacks: There seems to be an NVidia driver issue in OS X 10.4.3 such that calling "glDrawbuffer(GL_FRONT)" fails. It appears that Apple has a fix coming in 10.4.4, but I thought I'd post this here in case this is biting someone here.

If you maximize the window it should work properly (it does on my Geforce3 card at least). I find version 2.4 is a little quirky in the button window though.

Yep, forgot to mention that part. The work around for Blender is to maximize it (mixed reports say that hiding your dock helps too.)

Well that explains why Blender stopped working on my G5 (with FX5200) and continues to work on my laptop (with some dinky Radeon card).

This should be fixed in 10.4.4, btw.
