Landscape app sometimes thinks portrait

I have an app that I have set the orientation in the plist to be landscape. I've also set the shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation only to allow landscape.
When the app starts, the view's frame is landscape. The simulator and device both show landscape.
However, after the initial call to my view's initWithFrame (where it is landscape), any other time I get the view's frame it's portrait.

Any ideas? I've tried all sorts of things without luck.

Uhhhhhgggg. I finally got it. view.bounds is what I should be using to lay out the view since that's what's being used for the drawRect. Using Bounds works great.
