Can you give any more information about what type of game you want to create? How much math or physics background do you have?

You can make a decent game by working really really hard. What you want to start from scratch? No one can help you with no specifics.

Anyone else think its kind of strange that an experinced C programmer dosnt know where to start?
1) Display Graphics to Screen
2) Have user interact with graphics

Not really, I coded for a couple of years in C (learnt it for college, not in college) before I even plotted my first pixel...
