Environment mapping

I'm new to Environment mapping and want som advice.
I've finsihed modeling a piano, and i want it to reflect some objects on the piano

When you say "some objects", do you mean other objects in the scene or objects drawn in a texture?
I mean other objects in the scene
erm, I think that's cube mapping, not environment mapping... Enviroment mapping reflects object even if they're in back of the object; it's a bit screwed up.
It's not magic, it's Ruby.
I'd say MACnus wants multipass rendering. Even so, I suggest that you start with static environment mapping, with a pre-rendered texture. That's the old standard way, pretty simple to do, and OpenGL has support for it built-in. Have you read the "Sphere map" section in the red book? Once you have that running, you can consider multipass.
Right, reflecting other objects in the scene will require stuff like rendering the scene into a cubemap texture. Start simple, like Ingemar says.
