What updates if any to OpenGL did apple make with 10.3.8? Any new extensions, bug fixes?

Well, the Radeon 9600 max viewport changed from 2656x2048 to 2656x2656. I don't see any other changes here. Guess it's time to visit the lab again...

btw, it doesn't hurt to ask Apple for a technote describing the changes. They had a few for 10.2.x...

Luck you.

According to Apple's developer site:
Quote:Where are the ADC Compatibility Labs?
We currently have ADC Compatibility Labs in Cupertino California, Beijing China, and Tokyo, Japan.

Which one to choose from to test my code developed in Scotland? Spoilt for choice Cry

That's exactly why I maintain this chart, so that people without access to all of the hardware can see the capabilities. Check back next week for 10.3.8.

(Of course, you still need to find beta testers with the hardware to run your app-- the reported info doesn't say anything about the visual results...)

Updated.

There are very few changes from 10.3.6, so here's the summary:
* Radeon 9600/9700/9800 adds EXT_separate_specular_color and ups MAX_VIEWPORT_DIMS to 2656x2656.
* Radeon X800 added. It looks like the 9800, except with ATI_texture_compression_3dc and some increased fragment program limits.
* GeForce 6800 adds APPLE_float_pixels.

All of the other renderers have no queryable functional changes from 10.3.6.

Bug-fix wise, I'm sure there are more changes, but you can't query bug fixes.

Lo and behold, a 10.3 technote covering bug fixes from 10.3 through 10.3.7.

Of course this is only highlights. I know for a fact there were more bug fixes than this Wink
Unfortunately this technote doesn't list the features added at each revision, but you can see what changed with my chart.

"no significant changes" in 10.3.3 and 10.3.4? what are they smoking? that was when the "vertex arrays in display lists crashes" bug was fixed........ I've submitted feedback Smile

Yes, 10.3.3 added point and line smoothing to the 9600, a major issue for me.
