I hate having two threads on at the same time but....

I have a Mac os 10.2 and can't get Gimp to run (I finally found X11 and installed it)
When I run Gimp it brings up a dialog saying "caching fonts" (and a loading bar)
the X11 starts (???) and Gimp is removed from the dock...

Nothing else happens (???).
except X11 asks (when I try to quit) "If you quit now you will stop any applications running)

I really need a "Picture editor", I have a classic photoshop (3.0) but that takes to long
to load.

IIRC, Gimp doesn't run under Jaguar. :-/ Try starting X11 first, and Gimp after it has finished loading, but I doubt that will do it. Sorry, I don't know of any better alternatives.

I have run Gimp after the X11 started up but that was after Gimp started it...
