Hi, I am interested in making CoD skins but I think I am doing something wrong, I´ve tried following some tutorials and I´ve suceeded until I get to the part where I have to turn all the files that contain the skin to a .pk3 file..Is there anyone that can help me with this issue?
Is there any specific mac way of making skins?
I am able to put all the files that contain the skin in a pk3 file but when I place the pk3 file in the main folder it never works..
What am i doing wrong?

Hmn, this seems more like an art & audio question than a game design question, no?

PakRat's a viewer; it won't create the .pk3. ".pk3" is really just ".zip", for which there are many utilities on the Mac.

My experience with this stuff ended after Q3, but as I recall, most problems with Mac-made .pk3s seemed to either be a result of line-ending issues in the associated text files (the engine wants DOS-style endings), or a failure to follow the directory hierarchy exactly.

All you have to do is use winzip then rename the file to filename.pk3

first of make sure you name your files correctly. I use winrar to make my pk3's. MAKE SURE IT IS ZIP FORMAT!. but you probable didnt name your files right. Its doesnt matter what the actualy pk3's name is, but the folder in it has to have a certain name like
For skins you put skins, and any other folders inside it.
