Hi, if anyone here reads/speaks japanese, could you tell me if "okugai" ("outdoors") makes sense for a 3D, "outdoors" game?

http://www.kanjisite.com/html/start/rhsi...okuya.html

In particular, does it have any other meanings?

Thanks!

OT: I'm taking a japanese class, but no, i don't know it yet. I'll check my japanese-american dictionary once I get it out of my locker.

戸外
こがい
kogai
open-air; outdoors
noun

屋外
おくがい
okugai
outdoors
adj-n

室外
しつがい
shitsugai
outdoors
noun

屋外
おくがい
okugai
outdoors
noun

Examples:
# 息子は野球やテニスやサッカーのような屋外スポーツが好きだ。
My son likes outdoor sports, such as baseball, tennis and soccer.

# 彼らは屋外スポーツに熱心である。
They are keen on outdoor sports.

# 彼等は屋外スポーツに熱心である。
They are keen on outdoor sports.

# 僕は野球やテニスやサッカーのような屋外スポーツが好きだ。
I like outdoor sports, such as baseball, tennis and soccer.

# ラグビーは屋外競技である。
Rugby is an outdoor game.

If you are using the kanji 屋外, then it can mean only one thing. Not like the case when you hear the word "ame", which can mean CANDY or RAIN. However, if you see the kanji, then you will know the meaning straight away.

Get it?

Thanks! This will be the title of a small 3D game I intend to enter on a game programing contest here in Argentina (deadline: end of this month!). Then I'll start my uDG entry. Smile

Thanks, did you check the date of my post? Wink

Okugai eventually became my uDG entry since I decided against entering the local contest. The postmortem used to be published on idevgames.com but it's currently not there, so here is one picture from it showing the title/menu sequence:
