OpenAL tutorials were a bit hidden. Here's a link:

Is anyone using this right now? Any issues with Mac OS X?
For 3D sound and effects it's the best way to go cross-platform, I've heard.
SDL_Mixer offers only a cheap less effective version of 3D sound, with no true spacial effects, just panning and volume changes.

Yes the .pkg won't install on OS 10.1.5. Why not just put it into a .tgz or .sit? Most developers know where to install it and if they require the user to install it they can make their own .pkg .
