Has anyone got a 1-2 second sound clip of a liquid fuelled rocket launching?

Also, does anyone know of an application that could help me make a similar sound?

Amadeus is very cool for creating great sound effects - mentioned inthe tutorial.

if you want to make one yourself, try striking a strike anywhere match and then slowing it down in your sound editor.

Excellent idea about the match!

I'm happy for mono, of 1-4 seconds length.

It's for a freeware game I'm working on called "Kimdom Come". The sound is made whenever you fire one of your Flying Dong 2 missiles at incoming gifts of food and oil from your enemies.

I have tried manipulating some iDevGames bomb sounds with Sound Edit, and have produced a couple of ok sounds, but if anyone has an appropriate sound in your library, I am interested. I don't pay anything, so don't spend too much time!
