How should Pac-Man end?

Hey!
I'm working on Pac The Man 2. Obviously, it's a clone of Pac-Man (a really good one). The game is almost done, except for the ending. Do you guys, and girls, have any suggestions for the ending? Be as creative as you want!

PS. Miss Pac-Man is also in the game so... hum... romance is possible. Grin

hahahahahahah, that reminds me of Camacho's Pac man sex game idea. Grin Camcho, you went into some surprising detail when describing that game to us. Grin

pacman will attain a velocity higher than the speed of light due to the adverse effects of continously eating dots on a lo-res screen, cause the universe to wrap around, and he will finally reach himself from behind and swallow himself, causing the universe to collapse and explode again in a big bang. Greetings to Stephen Hawking at this point. Ha!

Max, I really like the art on your website! Smile

You are currently working on graphics for Ethos? That looks like a very nice project -- I really hope it gets completed!

Thanks DaFalcon! I hope to update my art page really soon... it's so old.

Ethos?!?! I'm sorry DaFalcon, Ethos is dead! That's sad because the game was a real console-style RPG. Perhaps I can convince Sebastian Wegner (McSebi) to continue the project or do something similar.

Obviously once you reach level 256 the graphics on the screen should mess up causing the game to become unplayable.

Duh.

>It's a clone of Pac-Man..

Just curious, but does your dev team know that clones of that game easily "draws" the attention of lawyers? Or did you guys license the characters?

Anyhow, my advice is that there should be a "teaser" for the "next" game. So, first show joy happiness and then show something like a cliffhanger. Another idea is to put some easter egg at the end of the game, where the player becomes a ghost and must chase down Pac-man.

Nice logo.

Cheers

There are so many Pac-Man clones available on the Internet... Wink we thought another one wouldn't hurt anyone. Besides, our clone is freeware.

Actually, there's a bonus in the game that changes the player into a ghost.

Yes, and if you recall the Hasbro case, one Mac dev of a Mac clone was also given a nice letter by a lawyer.

>Besides, our clone is freeware.
Doesn't matter.

Cool. Why not have the whole game a twist? Make the game termites (ants) eating your food, etc and you needing to get them.

>what's that Pac-Man Sex idea?
Good question. I don't recall. Search for "Sex"
Rolleyes

Fine, make me dig it up...(and this is a direct quote from the "sex, death, and games" thread in the game design forum.)

Little man (or women character) runs through a maze. Enemy naked people give chase or sometimes have their own fun. (please use better AI!). Your character either needs to look away, or throw clothes (birth control or anti-aspirin) at the nudists. If you happen to see the nudist the meter goes up (or if you can't stop their indicent acts). Stay too long on a level, and <fill in voluptous person's name/macho stud's name> super nuder enters the maze and gives serious chase. Perhaps like Robotron, not everyone is a nudist (enemy), so you might have some kids, priests that you need to save during each level. I think some nudists should also throw some things at you like sexy underwear, porn mags, etc. Get hit and your meter goes up a bit. Some levels have hazards like TVs showing porn movies (simple looping 4 frame anim is enough) and you will need to deactivate them. Perhaps some levels have a second floor. Female enemy wearing dress happens to be on the 2nd floor while you are on the 1st, your meter goes up. Another level is in a video store so you will need to pick up all the AV movies and throw them away. What other elements can we put in this game? Remember it must stay true to its roots which are Berserk, Venture, Robotron, FoodFight. Sounds like a fun game and a bit like a Wooden Allen movie (when he made fun ones). I'm not so crazy about looking at a male's sex organ so I hope we can make it a simple thermometer type. (But I'll volunteer if the screen size is 1800 x 1600 pixels if nobody can be our model.)

Anyhow, we don't see many games like this at all at the shareware level. Anyone willing to give it a try? I'm sure you Metal or TNT programmers could BANG out such a game in a day or two.

Now that I have read it again I see it wasn't Pac-man, but similar.
