Double Buffer Speeds in Cocoa

Hi, I am new to OpenGL and this is my first post Smile

I have two quick questions about double buffering in cocoa:

1) Is it worth doing or is there something better to look into?

2) Is enabling NSOpenGLPFADoubleBuffer going to be hardware accelerated? I know using the freebees of cocoa can sometimes be a performance hit so if it is software controlled, I am wondering if it would be faster to create two OpenGL views and to control the buffers myself. I dont have a mac available to test on for a couple weeks so I am just toying around with some ideas at the moment.

You should always use double buffering (NSOpenGLPFADoubleBuffer).
