Howdy,
I am writing a cocoa openGL app on my G4 which has the stock ATI Rage 128 and it works fine. I then tried to run the same app on my brother's 333 G3 which sports a ATI Rage 3D Pro and runs 10.2.3 but openGl is broken on his computer. Any idea why?

Mac OS X does not accelerate OpenGL on Rage Pro cards. This is because the Rage Pro cannot do a number of things that the core OpenGL spec requires (it's particularly bad at blending).

The software renderer should work OK, but if you're asking for an accelerated context, you won't get one...

I have never been able to get Cocoa OpenGL to work with my Rage Pro or Rage II (Grin) under Mac OS X. If you figure it out, tell me.

I tried commenting the accelerated attribute when creating the pixel format for the context but it still won't launch. Something else is broken as well.
