I'm am writing a game in Carbon that needs to play wave and midi files. What is the prefered method for sound in Carbon games? Does anyone have a decent tutorial on this? The ADC tutorials are pretty confusing on this subject.
If you are working with Mac OS X only Carbon, the Inkubator project's current game, Hooptie, plays sound using CoreAudio. You can download the latest code from SourceForge and find out more about our project here. QuickTime also works when playing MIDIs, but is slower.
