That's OK man. But, don't you know any tutorials ( ) about the Rage Pro for Mac and about such low-level dirty stuff? Thanks.

P.S: I can even understand "some" assembly stuff (maybe more x86 than PPC, altho' now I don't care about the first), as I used to use it back when I used PeeCees (ahhh... my wonderful writing style).

That said, I'm going to stop talking about it right here. As a former ATI employee with proprietary knowledge (and a extreme desire not to get involved with driver development again) I don't feel comfortable discussing details. Sorry.

Proprietary knowledge?

HHAAARRRRGGHHH!!!!!!

peacha: I know there's a RagePro (mach64) 3d driver somewhere on the net.
Im not sure of its license but it's open source.

You'd need info on what the OS is looking for of the driver. I'm sure if you searched Apple's developer site you could find a IHV driver kit for video cards.

Then you need to know how to access the registers on the video card. The only thing I can say is that you may get the best info by searching for open source Rage Pro drivers for Linux/BSD/etc. I don't know if they exist but that's the only way I can think of that you could legally get the card's specs.
