Best looking game graphics IMHO
This game has the best game graphics that I have ever seen. It would be great to see more games use interesting techniques like this rather than get caught up in polygons...

Though a bit more traditional in style, the two of the best examples of 2D art in a game I've seen are Oden Sphere and Muramasa.

Yes Odins Sphere for the PS2 is highly detailed and excellently animated. Definitely one of the first to use an art style so detailed that otherwise might seem impossible to animate.
For the the iOs devices I think design styles like Patapon would really work well. Basic shapes and silhouettes to be identifiable in a limited screen size would do good.

Oh dear. Or Trundle which created a sizeable controversy for being a ripoff of a Night Sky. It was even thrown in once that it even goes as far as using the same physics engine. 'cause you know that putting the popular silhouette style together with the popular ball physics puzzle game is truly inspired. -_-

On a sidenote, I hope Night Sky hasn't been abandoned because it looks like it would be an absolutely fantastic game. The dev making it has released a couple other games in the meantime though. I think that bodes poorly for the project. :-\
